Medications have to be transport with you onboard the flight as carry-on baggage. They must enclose a medical prescription, preferably with the amount of doses and times to be administered.
Copa Airlines recommend taking with you the enough amounts of medications prescribed for use throughout the trip.
Keep in mind that you may be asked to check your carry-on bag at the gate due to space constraints in the cabin. It is your responsibility to remove your medications before giving your bag to a Copa Airlines flight attendant or agent at the gate.
You may carry syringes when traveling, provided that they are medically necessary and you comply with the following requirements:
- A doctor's note verifying your condition or a prescription for the medication requiring syringes must be shown at the counter.
- The medication must be properly labeled with a pharmaceutical label or a professionally-printed label identifying the medication or the manufacturer. This requirement applies regardless of what form the medication is in, and regardless of whether it is in a dispenser.
- It is very important to ensure that all syringes and vials are in their original packaging or original box, and they must always be accompanied by a prescription.
