Firearms are not allowed in carry-on baggage. To transport it as baggage in the hold, you must declare your intention to transport it before the security question. For this you need a permit to enter the weapon in the country of your destination.

All passengers bound for Colombia who need to enter firearms for civil and/or sports use must transport all firearms in containers separate from hold baggage (case or safety boxes), duly closed, with a security system (padlock), identification system (bag tag) and the corresponding security declarations.

Once the aircraft has reached its destination, Copa Airlines personnel will carry out the weapon delivery procedure in coordination with the Colombian National Police.

Weapons are not allowed to be transported in checked baggage.

For additional information and a complete list of items allowed and not allowed in carry-on and checked baggage,  visit our Restricted Baggage section.
