Are liquids, gels and aerosols allowed in carry-on?

Liquids, gels and aerosols are only allowed in carry-on baggage, under the following conditions:

  • If you carry containers containing liquids, gels or aerosols in your carry-on baggage, they may not exceed 3.4 ounces or 100 ml; even if the container is not completely full.
  • All these containers must be placed in 1 transparent plastic bag, which can be closed and has a maximum capacity of 1 liter.
  • Only one (1) plastic bag may be carried per passenger.

Note: In case you are traveling to the United States, you should keep in mind that a second inspection is carried out in the boarding rooms of the Panama airport, in which it is required to remove the plastic bag that contains the liquids, gels or aerosols, to be inspected by X-Ray and / or manually.
